We hope you enjoy! This month's featured home is located in Nottingham Forrest South. The homeowners wanted a total makeover of their kitchen, hearth, laundry, and great room on the main floor as well as upstairs office. This beautiful home already had stunning architecture, but the "look" was outdated red Oak, and the walls were flat paint. We created several of our custom finishes for their cabinetry and woodwork, and added textured walls in the kitchen, hearth room, back entry, and great room. This lovely kitchen features two of our finishes: "Aged Honey Butter" and "Black Crackle". The homeowners wanted the textured look of our "country charm" cabinet sample, but didn't want actual textural product on their cabinetry. We solved the problem by creating a textured look that is actually a combination of paints, stains, and glazes. The pantry and island were finished in a crackled and distressed black and tan, the perfect compliment to the newly finished cabinets. The great room pictured below was transformed with our Dark Tuscan finish, which accented the gorgeous architecture already present in the room. Deep crown molding, picture frame insets, and one entire wall of windows and woodwork gave us lots of features to accent with our custom paint and stain formulas. We added our beautiful "Fireweed" textured finish to the walls for a perfect compliment to the reds and olives present in the fabric of their furniture.
